Inventory Specialist

As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a critical role in the daily operations of our store by ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficient product replenishment. - Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels for all products in the store.
- Regularly conduct inventory counts and audits to identify discrepancies and take corrective action.
- Monitor and track inventory movement, including sales trends and product expiration dates.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and efficient product replenishment.
- Collaborate with the store management team to create and implement effective inventory management strategies.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of products to optimize space and minimize loss.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of new inventory shipments.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure products are correctly labeled and priced.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with product inquiries and locating out-of-stock items.
- Keep the store visually appealing by regularly restocking and arranging products on shelves and displays.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
- Train and mentor new team members on inventory management processes and procedures.
- Communicate any inventory issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Continuously seek ways to improve inventory management processes and increase efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Strong Organizational Skills: An Inventory Specialist At Walgreens Must Be Able To Keep Track Of A Large Number Of Products And Ensure They Are Properly Stored And Restocked. This Requires Excellent Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management Software: Walgreens Uses Specialized Software For Inventory Management, And Applicants For This Position Should Have Experience Using Such Software. This Includes The Ability To Input And Track Inventory Data, Generate Reports, And Identify Any Discrepancies.
Familiarity With Retail Operations: An Understanding Of Retail Operations And Supply Chain Management Is Essential For An Inventory Specialist At Walgreens. This Includes Knowledge Of Purchasing, Shipping And Receiving Procedures, And Inventory Control Processes.
Physical Stamina: The Job Of An Inventory Specialist At Walgreens Can Be Physically Demanding, As It Involves Moving And Lifting Boxes, Stocking Shelves, And Performing Inventory Counts. Candidates Should Be In Good Physical Shape And Able To Stand For Long Periods Of Time.
