
Certified Pharmacy Technician

- Dispense Medications: Accurately and efficiently dispense medications to patients according to prescriptions and company policies and procedures.
- Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with their pharmacy needs, including answering questions, providing information, and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Maintain Pharmacy Inventory: Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of medications, and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Process Prescriptions: Receive and process new and refill prescriptions, including entering patient and prescription information into the computer system, verifying insurance, and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Prepare Medication Orders: Measure, mix, count, and label medications for dispensing to patients, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Communicate and collaborate with pharmacists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medications and to address any patient concerns or inquiries.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal regulations, company policies, and safety protocols to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Maintain Records: Accurately and timely document and maintain patient records, prescriptions, and other necessary paperwork.
- Educate Patients: Provide patients with information and education on medication usage, potential side effects, and any other relevant information to ensure safe and effective use of medications.
- Support Pharmacy Operations: Assist with various tasks as needed to support the overall operations of the pharmacy, including but not limited to, cleaning and maintaining equipment, organizing inventory, and completing administrative tasks.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
Completion Of A Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (E.g. Ptcb Or Excpt)
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Working As A Pharmacy Technician
Proficient In Computer Skills And Able To Navigate Pharmacy Software Systems
Excellent Customer Service And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment And Multitask Effectively.
