- Accurately input and maintain patient information and prescription records in our pharmacy system.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure timely and accurate filling of prescriptions.
- Prepare and label medications for dispensing, including counting, measuring, and packaging.
- Process insurance claims and assist patients with any insurance-related inquiries or issues.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of medications.
- Follow all state and federal regulations in regards to controlled substances and prescription handling.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and education to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and pharmacy operations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
- Assist with other duties and tasks as assigned by the pharmacy manager.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Candidate For A Certified Pharmacy Technician Position At Walgreens Must Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Pharmacy Technician Certification: Walgreens Requires All Certified Pharmacy Technicians To Hold A Valid Certification From The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Strong Knowledge Of Pharmaceuticals: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medications, Including Dosage Forms, Drug Interactions, And Storage Requirements.
Excellent Customer Service Skills: As A Representative Of Walgreens, A Certified Pharmacy Technician Must Have Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills To Interact With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Team Members.
