Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Certified Pharmacy Technician to join the team at Walgreens. The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for helping others. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and filling prescriptions, and completing other pharmaceutical tasks as assigned. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Pharmacy Technician Certification. If you have a passion for helping others, an eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, this is the job for you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent customer service in the pharmacy
  2. Prepare and fill prescriptions in accordance with state and federal regulations
  3. Organize and maintain pharmacy inventory
  4. Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently
  5. Maintain patient records and complete corresponding paperwork
  6. Assist in answering the phone and responding to customer inquiries
  7. Monitor expiration dates and rotate stock accordingly
  8. Monitor the drug formulary and communicate changes to patients and healthcare providers
  9. Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  10. Assist in additional pharmacy tasks as assigned
