- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of safety standards and regulations in the transportation industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks in product design and develop safety requirements.
- Conduct thorough safety analyses and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate safety measures.
- Create and maintain functional safety plans, including safety case documentation, to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations to improve product safety.

- Train and mentor junior safety engineers to improve overall safety awareness and knowledge within the team.

Extensive Experience In Functional Safety Engineering: A Senior Functional Safety Engineer At Volvo Group Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Functional Safety Engineering, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing Safety Processes And Standards.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Iso 26262: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of The Iso 26262 Standard For Functional Safety In The Automotive Industry And Be Able To Apply It Effectively In Their Work.
Strong Technical Background: A Senior Functional Safety Engineer Should Have A Strong Technical Background In Engineering, Preferably In Electrical, Electronics, Or Software Engineering. They Should Also Have A Good Understanding Of Automotive Systems And Their Safety Requirements.
Leadership And Management Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Guide And Mentor Junior Engineers. They Should Also Have Experience In Project Management And Be Able To Effectively Lead Cross-Functional Teams.
Communication And Collaboration: The Role Of A Senior Functional Safety Engineer Requires Effective Communication And Collaboration With Stakeholders At All Levels, Including Engineers, Project Managers, And Senior Management.
