- Responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials and supplies to production lines.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies to management.
- Adhere to safety protocols and handle materials in a safe and responsible manner.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure smooth flow of materials and supplies.
- Inspect incoming materials for quality and report any issues to appropriate personnel.
- Responsible for organizing and maintaining the warehouse and storage areas.
- Manage material requests and fulfill orders in a timely manner.
- Communicate any delays or issues with materials to production teams and management.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Follow standard operating procedures and company policies at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as packing, labeling, and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure goals and targets are met.
- Continuously strive to improve efficiency and productivity in material handling processes.
Strong Physical Ability: Material Handlers At Volvo Group Are Required To Lift And Move Heavy Objects On A Regular Basis. Therefore, Candidates Must Possess The Physical Strength And Stamina To Perform These Tasks Effectively.
Experience In Warehouse Operations: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Warehouse Or Similar Environment, With Knowledge Of Inventory Management, Order Picking, And Shipping Processes.
Forklift Certification: Since Material Handlers Are Responsible For Operating Forklifts And Other Equipment, A Valid Forklift Certification Is Often Required By Volvo Group.
