  7. Keep up-to-date with industry standards and advancements in machine shop inspection techniques.
  8. Train and mentor new team members in machine shop inspection procedures.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding any quality issues or concerns.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of inspection tools and equipment.
  11. Follow all company policies and procedures related to quality control and inspection.
  12. Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during inspections.
  13. Attend training sessions and seminars to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  14. Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure all specifications and requirements are met.
  15. Adhere to strict deadlines and production schedules to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

Job Qualifications
  • Technical Knowledge: A Machine Shop Inspector At Volvo Group Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Machine Shop Operations, Including Knowledge Of Various Machining Processes, Tools, And Materials. This Includes The Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Drawings And Specifications.

  • Quality Control Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Quality Control And Inspection Methods, Including The Use Of Precision Measuring Instruments Such As Calipers, Micrometers, And Gauges. Knowledge Of Iso 9001 Standards And Quality Management Systems Is Also Preferred.

  • Attention To Detail: A Machine Shop Inspector Needs To Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify Defects Or Deviations From Specifications. They Should Be Able To Perform Thorough And Accurate Inspections To Ensure The Highest Level Of Quality In All Finished Products.

  • Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For A Machine Shop Inspector, As They Will Need To Communicate Effectively With Production Team Members, Engineers, And Other Stakeholders To Address Any Quality Issues And Suggest Improvements.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: The Ability To Troubleshoot And Solve Problems Is Crucial For A Machine Shop Inspector. They Should Be Able To Identify The Root Cause Of Any Quality Issues And Work With The Production Team To Implement Corrective Actions And Prevent Future Occurrences.
