  1. Perform regular maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with HGVs using specialized tools and equipment.
  3. Conduct thorough inspections of HGVs to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.
  4. Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working on HGVs.
  5. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on HGVs.
  6. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and efficient use of resources.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices to continually improve skills and knowledge.
  8. Communicate effectively with customers and provide exceptional customer service.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote a safe and efficient workspace.
  10. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  11. Collaborate with parts department to ensure necessary parts are available for repairs.
  12. Train and mentor new technicians as needed.
  13. Attend training and certification programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  14. Participate in team meetings and provide input on ways to improve processes and procedures.
  15. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Relevant Experience Working As A Hgv Technician Is Required For This Position. This Should Include Experience In Diagnosing And Repairing Heavy Vehicles.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong Technical Knowledge Of Hgv Systems, Engines, And Components Is Essential. This Includes Expertise In Electrical, Mechanical, And Hydraulics Systems.

  • Certifications: Candidates Must Hold A Relevant Certification Or Qualification In Hgv Maintenance And Repair. This Could Include Nvq Level 3 In Maintenance And Repair Of Heavy Vehicles Or Similar.

  • Teamwork: The Ability To Work Well In A Team Is Important For This Role, As Hgv Technicians Often Collaborate With Other Technicians, Mechanics, And Engineers To Complete Repairs And Maintenance Tasks. Strong Communication Skills Are Also Essential For Effective Teamwork.
