  1. Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles to ensure they are in top working condition.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on HGVs.
  3. Follow manufacturer's guidelines and procedures to effectively repair and maintain vehicles.
  4. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on HGVs.
  5. Perform quality checks to ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
  6. Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate repairs and share knowledge.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and new technologies related to HGV maintenance and repair.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  9. Act as a brand ambassador for Volvo Group and maintain a professional and customer-friendly attitude at all times.
  10. Adhere to all safety protocols and practices to ensure the safety of oneself and others in the workplace.
  11. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  12. Collaborate with other team members to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  13. Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
  14. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Technical Knowledge And Experience: A Hgv Technician At Volvo Group Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Heavy Goods Vehicles And Their Components, As Well As Experience In Repairing And Maintaining These Vehicles.

  • Mechanical And Electrical Skills: The Job Requires Strong Mechanical And Electrical Skills To Diagnose And Troubleshoot Complex Issues With Hgvs, As Well As The Ability To Use Specialized Tools And Equipment.

  • Certification And Training: Candidates For This Role Should Have Relevant Certifications And Training In Hgv Maintenance And Repair, Such As A Level 3 Nvq In Heavy Vehicle Maintenance And Repair Or An Equivalent Qualification.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Hgv Technician, Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Order To Ensure The Safety And Reliability Of The Vehicles Being Serviced. This Includes Accurately Recording And Reporting All Repairs And Maintenance Work.

  • Teamwork And Communication: Working As Part Of A Team Is Essential In This Role, As Hgv Technicians Collaborate With Other Technicians, Mechanics, And Service Advisors. Good Communication Skills Are Also Important For Interacting With Customers And Providing Excellent Service.
