  1. Perform skilled and efficient repairs and maintenance on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs).
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical issues on HGVs.
  3. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
  4. Utilize specialized tools and equipment to identify and resolve vehicle problems.
  5. Keep accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  8. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in vehicle technology to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience With Heavy Goods Vehicles (Hgvs) And Commercial Trucks: A Hgv Technician At Volvo Group Should Have Experience Working With Hgvs And Commercial Trucks, Including Knowledge Of Their Systems And Components.

  • Technical Training And Education: A Strong Understanding Of Mechanics And Electrical Systems Is Required For This Role. A Hgv Technician Should Have A Relevant Technical Degree Or Certification From A Reputable Institution.

  • Diagnostic Skills: Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Abilities Are Essential For A Hgv Technician. They Should Be Able To Diagnose And Repair Complex Mechanical And Electrical Issues Efficiently.

  • Knowledge Of Volvo Group Products And Systems: Familiarity With The Volvo Group's Vehicles, Products, And Systems Is Preferred. This Includes Understanding Of The Company's Safety Standards And Procedures.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Working As A Team Member In A Fast-Paced Environment Is A Crucial Part Of This Job. A Hgv Technician Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Colleagues And Supervisors, As Well As Work Well In A Team Setting.
