Welcome to Volvo Group! We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Group Manager for Product Safety & Certification in India. As a global leader in the commercial vehicle industry, safety and certification are of utmost importance to us. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the product safety and certification process for all our products in India. We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in product safety and certification, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.   1. Develop and implement safety and certification policies and procedures for all Volvo Group products in India.
  2. Stay up-to-date with local and international safety and certification regulations and ensure compliance.
  3. Oversee the product safety and certification process from design to production to ensure all products meet safety standards.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and legal to ensure safety and certification requirements are met.
  5. Lead and manage a team of safety and certification specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
  6. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential safety hazards and take necessary actions to mitigate risks.
  7. Investigate and report any safety incidents or concerns and develop action plans for improvement.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with external regulatory agencies and certification bodies.
  9. Provide training and support to internal teams on safety and certification-related topics.
  10. Communicate and promote a culture of safety within the organization, emphasizing the importance of product safety and certification.
  11. Collaborate with global safety and certification teams to share best practices and ensure consistency across all Volvo Group products.
  12. Monitor and analyze safety and certification data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
  13. Prepare and present safety and certification reports to senior management.
  14. Manage budget and resources for the safety and certification department.
  15. Continuously strive for improvement and innovation in safety and certification processes and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Engineering, Preferably In Mechanical Or Electrical Field.

  • Minimum Of 8 Years Of Experience In Product Safety And Certification In The Automotive Industry.

  • In-Depth Knowledge And Understanding Of Relevant Safety Regulations And Standards In India, Such As Ais, Cmvr, And Arai.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Experience In Managing A Team, With A Proven Track Record Of Driving Results.

  • Excellent Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And External Partners.
