- Develop and maintain automated tests for complex backend systems to ensure efficient and reliable testing processes.
- Utilize strong technical skills and knowledge of software testing to design and implement effective test automation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and identify areas for test automation.
- Execute and analyze automated tests to identify and report any issues or bugs.
- Continuously improve and enhance existing automated test suites to increase efficiency and coverage.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in test automation techniques to continuously innovate and improve testing processes.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve any issues found during automated testing.
- Document and report test results to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure test automation code is following best practices and maintainable.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in test automation best practices and processes.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Proactively identify and communicate any potential risks or issues related to test automation.
- Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and reliability of automated tests.
- Collaborate with team members to continuously improve the overall quality and stability of our backend systems.
Extensive Experience In Automation Testing: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Software Testing, With A Focus On Automation Testing. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Automation Tools And Frameworks, And Be Able To Design And Implement Automated Test Scripts.
Strong Backend Testing Skills: As A Senior Test Automation Engineer-Backend, The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Backend Technologies And Be Able To Design And Execute Tests For Complex Backend Systems. They Should Also Have Experience With Api Testing And Working With Databases.
Proficiency In Programming Languages: The Candidate Should Be Proficient In Programming Languages Such As Java, Python, Or C#, As Well As Scripting Languages Like Javascript. They Should Be Able To Write Efficient And Maintainable Code For Test Automation.
Knowledge Of Ci/Cd Tools: Vodafone Values Continuous Integration And Delivery, So The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Ci/Cd Tools Such As Jenkins, Gitlab, Or Bamboo. They Should Be Able To Set Up Automated Test Runs And Integrate Them Into The Development Process.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Candidate Should Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Stakeholders, Including Developers, Product Managers, And Other Team Members. They Should Also Be Able To Work Collaboratively In An Agile Environment, And Mentor And Guide Junior Team Members.
