1. Lead the design and implementation of Vodafone's global IP/MPLS network, ensuring that it is efficient, scalable, and meets the company's business objectives.
2. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration templates, and standard operating procedures, to ensure consistency and accuracy in network operations.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver new IP/MPLS services that meet the needs of Vodafone's global customer base.
4. Conduct regular network performance analysis and proactively identify and troubleshoot any issues to ensure high availability and reliability of services.
5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in IP/MPLS technologies and protocols, and provide recommendations for network improvements and optimizations.
6. Mentor and train junior engineers on IP/MPLS technologies and best practices, and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
7. Work closely with vendors and service providers to evaluate and select new technologies and solutions that align with Vodafone's business goals.
8. Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines and ensure successful delivery of services.
9. Collaborate with other senior engineers to develop and implement network security policies and procedures to protect Vodafone's network and data.
10. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to network emergencies in a timely manner to minimize service downtime.
11. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including management, to provide updates on network projects, issues, and recommendations.
12. Represent Vodafone in industry forums and events, showcasing our innovative IP/MPLS services and solutions.
13. Continuously improve processes and procedures to enhance network performance, reliability and efficiency.
