  1. Design, develop, and maintain Visa's global technology infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in the system to enhance performance and efficiency.
  3. Monitor and troubleshoot production issues to ensure quick resolution and minimize downtime.
  4. Utilize software engineering and system administration skills to automate processes and tasks.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve Visa's technology infrastructure.
  6. Actively participate in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  7. Conduct regular system audits and performance tests to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
  8. Work closely with development teams to ensure new applications and features are designed with reliability and scalability in mind.
  9. Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
  10. Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure seamless integration of systems and tools.
  11. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on system performance and any potential impacts.
  12. Continuously review and improve processes and procedures to optimize system reliability and performance.
  13. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical issues in a timely manner.
  14. Adhere to Visa's security and compliance standards.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Technical Background: A Staff Site Reliability Engineer At Visa Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of Software Development, System Administration, And Infrastructure Management. They Should Be Proficient In A Variety Of Programming Languages And Have Experience With Cloud Computing Platforms Like Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud.

  • Experience In Site Reliability And System Architecture: Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Designing And Implementing Reliable And Scalable Systems. They Should Be Well-Versed In System Architecture Principles, Able To Identify Potential Points Of Failure And Implement Solutions To Prevent Them.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: A Staff Site Reliability Engineer At Visa Must Be Able To Think Critically And Quickly Troubleshoot Issues As They Arise. They Should Have Experience In Incident Management And Be Able To Effectively Prioritize And Resolve Incidents To Minimize Downtime And Impact On The Business.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Staff Site Reliability Engineer Will Be Expected To Communicate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Developers, Operations, And Product Managers. They Should Be Able To Clearly Articulate Technical Concepts And Solutions To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
