  1. Design and develop secure and efficient payment systems for millions of customers worldwide.
  2. Collaborate with a team of engineers to create cutting-edge solutions for Visa's DevEx team.
  3. Utilize your strong background in systems engineering to design and implement complex systems.
  4. Take ownership of projects and lead them to successful completion.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve Visa's systems.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Visa's systems.
  7. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of systems.
  8. Implement best practices and processes to ensure high-quality and efficient delivery of projects.
  9. Mentor and train junior engineers to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
  11. Monitor and maintain the performance and security of systems.
  12. Collaborate with third-party vendors to integrate their systems with Visa's.
  13. Continuously identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  14. Adhere to Visa's standards and policies for system development and maintenance.
  15. Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Software Development: A Sr. Systems Engineer - Devex At Visa Should Have A Strong Background In Software Development, Including Proficiency In Multiple Programming Languages And Platforms. They Should Be Able To Design, Develop, And Implement Complex Systems And Solutions.

  • Knowledge Of Devops Principles And Practices: As A Sr. Systems Engineer - Devex, The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Devops Principles And Practices, Including Continuous Integration And Deployment, Automation, And Infrastructure As Code. They Should Be Familiar With Tools Such As Docker, Kubernetes, And Jenkins.

  • Strong Understanding Of Cloud Technologies: With Visa's Increasing Focus On Cloud Computing, A Sr. Systems Engineer - Devex Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Cloud Technologies, Including Aws, Azure, And Google Cloud. They Should Be Able To Design, Build, And Manage Cloud-Based Solutions.

  • Experience With Microservices Architecture: Visa's Systems Are Built On A Microservices Architecture, And A Sr. Systems Engineer - Devex Should Have Experience Designing And Implementing Solutions Using This Approach. They Should Be Familiar With Frameworks Such As Spring Boot And Have Experience With Containerization Technologies Like Docker.

  • Excellent Problem-Solving And Communication Skills: A Sr. Systems Engineer - Devex At Visa Should Be Able To Effectively Troubleshoot And Resolve Complex Technical Issues. They Should Also Possess Strong Communication Skills To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Effectively Present Technical Solutions To Stakeholders. Additionally, They Should Be Able To Adapt To Changing Business Needs And Work Well Under Pressure.
