- Design, implement, and maintain systems for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing our big data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues related to system performance, capacity, and availability.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve the reliability and scalability of our big data systems.
- Proactively identify potential risks and bottlenecks in the infrastructure and develop solutions to mitigate them.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis efforts to ensure efficient and timely resolution of system issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for all aspects of the big data infrastructure, including architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in big data technologies and incorporate them into the infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement service level objectives and key performance indicators to measure and improve the overall reliability and performance of our big data systems.
Extensive Experience With Big Data Technologies: A Sr. Site Reliability Engineer-Bigdata At Visa Should Have A Deep Understanding And Hands-On Experience With Various Big Data Technologies Such As Hadoop, Spark, And Kafka. They Should Be Able To Design, Build, And Maintain Large-Scale Data Pipelines And Data Processing Systems.
Strong Programming And Scripting Skills: This Position Requires Strong Programming Skills In Languages Such As Java, Python, And Scala. The Ideal Candidate Should Also Have Experience With Scripting Languages Like Bash And Perl To Automate Tasks And Build Tools For Monitoring And Troubleshooting.
