  1. Provide legal counsel and advice on intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents, to ensure protection and enhancement of Visa's global brand.
  2. Support the development and implementation of new product and service offerings by providing legal guidance on IP and services-related issues.
  3. Conduct research and analysis on complex legal issues related to global products and services, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  4. Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to IP and services, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential legal risks related to product and service development and operations.
  6. Stay current on industry and regulatory developments and advise on their potential impact on Visa's IP and services.
  7. Manage and protect Visa's IP portfolio, including monitoring and enforcing trademark and copyright registrations.
  8. Partner with external counsel to manage IP litigation and disputes.
  9. Assist with the development and implementation of IP and services-related policies and procedures.
  10. Train and educate internal stakeholders on IP and services-related legal matters and best practices.
  11. Participate in and contribute to cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive innovation and growth within the company.
  12. Represent Visa in external meetings and negotiations related to IP and services matters.
  13. Collaborate with regional legal teams to ensure consistency and alignment in global IP and services strategies.
  14. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibilities.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School And Admission To The Bar In At Least One State.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Ip Law, Preferably In A Global Context.

  • Strong Understanding Of Product Development And Commercialization Processes, With Experience In Advising On Intellectual Property Issues Related To New Product Launches And Partnerships.

  • Knowledge Of Global Privacy And Data Protection Laws, Including Gdpr And Ccpa, And Experience In Developing And Implementing Privacy Policies And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate Complex Legal Concepts To Non-Legal Stakeholders.
