Chief Meteorologist

KCBS/KCAL/CBSNLA is looking for an outstanding and engaging Chief Meteorologist to lead our multi-platform weather team. Top candidates must have superior forecasting and storytelling skills. Ability to produce easy to understand and informative visuals, maps, and graphics to communicate the weather story to customers every day on air, online and on social media platforms. Must have a wealth of experience covering live severe weather breaking news. Also, live experience participating in and reporting on community-related events. AMS Seal required and knowledge of WSI weather system preferred. To be considered you must provide examples of on-air presentation during severe weather (both in studio and in the field). Behind the scenes, it is essential that this position work closely with news management, newscast producers and the digital team to execute station weather strategy.
