Vesuvius is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Plant Manager to join our growing team. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our production plant, while ensuring strict compliance with all safety and production regulations. We are looking for an individual with demonstrated management experience, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate must have prior experience in a manufacturing environment as well as a Bachelor's degree in a related field. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of successfully managing production and safety standards in a plant setting.The Plant Manager must be able to effectively interact with a wide range of personnel, including plant staff, production personnel, quality control personnel, and outside vendors. The Plant Manager must possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to quality and safety. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the production plant, ensuring that all safety and production regulations are strictly adhered to
- Manage production and safety standards in the plant
- Effectively interact with a wide range of personnel, including plant staff, production personnel, quality control personnel and outside vendors
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production processes and increase efficiency
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas of improvement
- Ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of projects
- Train and mentor plant staff and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external vendors
- Create and maintain accurate production and quality reports
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and supplies
- Troubleshoot and resolve any production-related problems
