
Director of Benefits
Veolia North America is searching for a Director of Benefits to join our Human Resources team. Our ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced professional who has an understanding of the complexities of managing employee benefits programs. The Director of Benefits will be responsible for creating and maintaining benefit plans, policies, and procedures that provide competitive value to our employees.The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree and at least 5-7 years of experience in the field of employee benefits. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the design and management of group health, retiree medical, dental, life, short and long-term disability, and other voluntary benefits. Additionally, knowledge of employee benefit compliance requirements, including ACA, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, and HIPAA is required.The Director of Benefits will need to be highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who is capable of developing creative solutions to optimize the employee benefits program and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage employee benefit plans, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of current benefit programs.
- Analyze and evaluate the competitiveness of benefit plans and programs.
- Stay up-to-date on new laws, regulations, and technology related to employee benefits.
- Develop and present proposals for new benefit plans and programs.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the benefits department.
- Create and maintain employee benefit records.
- Assist in the development and implementation of employee training programs related to benefits.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees with benefit inquiries.
