
Senior Manager, Third Party Security Assessments

- Develop and implement a comprehensive third-party security risk assessment program to evaluate the security posture of all vendors and partners.
- Conduct thorough and timely security assessments of all third-party vendors and partners, including on-site visits and documentation reviews.
- Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities within a vendor's systems, processes, and procedures.
- Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and internal teams, to ensure timely and accurate completion of security assessments.
- Collaborate with the legal and procurement teams to review and negotiate security requirements in vendor contracts.
- Develop and maintain a database of all third-party vendors and partners and their corresponding security risk assessment results.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to third-party security assessments and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of third-party security assessments and any identified risks or issues.
- Coordinate and lead training sessions for employees on third-party security assessment procedures and protocols.
- Act as the subject matter expert and point of contact for all third-party security assessment inquiries and escalations.
- Conduct post-assessment reviews and ensure any identified risks or issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
- Continuously monitor the security landscape and proactively identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities within third-party relationships.
- Work closely with the IT security team to implement and maintain appropriate security controls for third-party relationships.
- Provide guidance and support to other team members and assist with any ad-hoc security projects as needed.
Extensive Experience In Managing Third Party Security Assessments: A Senior Manager At Vanguard Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Third Party Security Assessments, Including The Process, Tools, And Best Practices. They Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Completing Assessments For Multiple Vendors.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Information Security: This Role Requires A Strong Understanding Of Information Security Principles, Industry Standards, And Regulatory Requirements. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Risk Management, Vulnerability Management, And Security Controls.
Strong Project Management Skills: As A Senior Manager Of Third Party Security Assessments, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Project Management Skills To Oversee And Coordinate Multiple Assessments Simultaneously. They Should Be Able To Create And Execute Project Plans, Manage Timelines, And Communicate Progress Effectively.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: This Position Involves Working Closely With Various Teams, Including Vendors, Internal Stakeholders, And Senior Leadership. The Candidate Should Possess Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills To Effectively Interact With Different Levels Of The Organization And Ensure Alignment On Security Assessment Objectives And Outcomes.
