Senior Manager, Data Engineering

We’re looking for a highly motivated Senior Manager, Data Engineering to join our ever-growing Vanguard team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of data engineering solutions to support our data-driven initiatives. To succeed in this role, you must have an inquisitive mind and a passion for working with data. You should also have a deep knowledge of ETL and data warehousing, as well as various database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, and NoSQL. We’re looking for someone who has experience leading and managing a data engineering team, and who can develop data engineering strategies that align with our organizational objectives. Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development of data engineering solutions to support data-driven initiatives.
2. Manage a data engineering team and develop data engineering strategies that align with organizational objectives.
3. Research and implement new database technologies (SQL, Oracle, NoSQL) to ensure effective data engineering solutions.
4. Create and maintain data engineering workflows, processes, and systems.
5. Troubleshoot data engineering issues and develop solutions to ensure the accuracy of data.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure that data engineering solutions are in line with organizational goals.
7. Utilize ETL and data warehousing to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
8. Develop and implement data governance strategies to protect data integrity.
9. Create and deliver reports and presentations to explain data engineering initiatives.
10. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data engineering.
