- Provide expert legal advice and guidance to Vanguard on a wide range of legal matters related to investment management.
- Manage a team of attorneys, providing mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities to help them excel in their roles.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams within Vanguard to ensure legal compliance and risk management.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and changes to ensure Vanguard's legal practices are in line with current laws and best practices.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making and provide recommendations for any necessary adjustments.
- Review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect Vanguard's interests.
- Represent Vanguard in legal proceedings and negotiations with external parties.
- Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic legal advice and support decision-making.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the legal team, promoting teamwork and a strong work ethic.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Active License To Practice Law In The State Where Vanguard Is Located.
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience As A Practicing Attorney, With A Focus On Corporate Or Financial Law.
Previous Experience In A Leadership Or Managerial Role, Preferably Within A Legal Department Or Law Firm.
Strong Understanding Of Investment Management And Financial Services Industry, Including Regulatory Compliance And Risk Management.
