- Serve as the primary point of contact for all crisis communication and issues management matters, both internally and externally.
- Monitor and assess potential crisis situations and proactively develop strategies to mitigate risks and protect Vanguard's interests.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and departments to ensure a unified and effective response to crisis situations.
- Serve as a spokesperson for Vanguard in times of crisis, effectively communicating with media, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and other external partners to effectively manage crisis communication.
- Provide guidance and support to leadership and other team members on crisis communication and issues management best practices.
- Conduct regular training and simulations to prepare the organization for potential crisis situations.
- Monitor and analyze public perception of Vanguard and provide recommendations for reputation management.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and effective crisis communication strategies.
- Act as a mentor and leader for the crisis communication and issues management team, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Manage crisis communication and issues management budgets and resources effectively.
