Vanguard is looking for an experienced Fund Accountant to join our team of finance professionals. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working with complex financial data. The Fund Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency of the firm's financial reporting and processes.The successful candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a minimum of two years of fund accounting experience. CPA and/or CFA certification is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities of a Fund Accountant at Vanguard:
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency of the firm’s financial reporting and processes.
- Prepare financial statements and other accounting reports.
- Analyze complex financial data and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Maintain financial records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Monitor accounting activities and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Research and resolve accounting issues.
- Prepare and review budgets and forecasts.
- Develop and implement financial controls.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.
