Cloud Security Engineer, Specialist

Vanguard is looking for an experienced Cloud Security Engineer/Specialist to join our team. We are looking for someone with a passion for security and experience working in the cloud environment who can provide critical security oversight and guidance for our cloud initiatives.The ideal candidate should possess an in-depth understanding of cloud security, including best practices, security technologies and solutions, and cloud security architecture. They should also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.We are seeking a creative and innovative problem solver with the ability to think outside the box and devise creative solutions to complex security challenges. The successful candidate should have a detail-oriented approach and be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field• At least 5 years of experience in cyber security, cloud security, and/or information security• Expert-level knowledge of cloud security technologies, best practices, and solutions• Proficiency with scripting and coding languages such as Python and/or Java• Ability to analyze and interpret security data and metrics• Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001/27002, NIST 800, and/or CIS• Certification in AWS or other cloud security technologies is preferred but not required

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and implement cloud security plans, policies, and procedures to ensure the security of data and systems in the cloud environment

• Monitor and analyze security data and metrics to identify potential threats and trends

• Analyze and interpret security data and metrics to inform cloud security decisions

• Design and implement solutions to secure data and systems in the cloud environment

• Research and evaluate new cloud security technologies and solutions

• Develop and maintain security controls to ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks

• Educate and advise stakeholders on cloud security best practices

• Stay abreast of current cyber security trends and threats

• Prepare and present reports on security issues and recommendations to management
