Cloud Security Engineer, Specialist

Vanguard is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer, Specialist to join our team and help ensure our cloud-based applications and data are secure. This position requires an individual who is passionate about security, has a deep technical understanding of cloud infrastructure, and is able to effectively communicate the security risks and solutions to stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced security engineer with a comprehensive understanding of cloud security, cloud platform and application security, and other security solutions. Responsibilities:

1. Monitor cloud-based applications and data for security risks and develop appropriate security solutions to address them.
2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud security best practices and solutions.
3. Implement security controls to protect cloud-based applications and data from attack and unauthorized access.
4. Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to cloud security.
5. Audit cloud-based systems to ensure compliance with security standards.
6. Provide technical guidance and training to internal stakeholders on cloud security.
7. Collaborate with other security teams and departments to ensure that cloud security is properly addressed.
8. Monitor security threats and vulnerabilities and develop strategies to address them.
9. Respond to security incidents and investigate the root cause.
10. Create and maintain documentation on cloud security processes, procedures, and controls.
