- Design and implement data architecture strategy for the Personal Investor division in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Lead the development and maintenance of data models, data dictionaries, and data standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and translate them into data requirements.
- Ensure data systems are efficient, secure, and scalable, while adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and select appropriate tools and technologies to support data architecture strategy.

Extensive Experience In Data Architecture And Management: A Chief Data Architect At Vanguard Must Have A Strong Background In Data Architecture, Including Designing And Implementing Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, And Data Governance Frameworks. They Should Also Have Experience In Data Modeling, Data Integration, And Data Quality Management.
Knowledge Of Investment Industry And Financial Data: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Investment Industry And The Types Of Data That Are Critical For Investment Decision Making. They Should Also Be Familiar With Financial Data Sources And Systems, Such As Portfolio Management Systems, Market Data Providers, And Trading Platforms.
Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Senior Leader At Vanguard, The Chief Data Architect Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Data Architects And Analysts. They Should Have Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Mentor And Develop Team Members, And The Ability To Manage Complex Data Projects From Start To Finish.
