Application Engineer

Vanguard is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Application Engineer to join our engineering team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with an emphasis on developing applications and tools for enterprise-level environments. The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the development lifecycle, from design to production, and be able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.To be successful in this role, you should have: -A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field-5+ years of experience as an Application Engineer or similar software engineering role-Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design principles-Experience with web and mobile development, scripting languages, application servers, databases, and cloud technologies-Proficiency in software development and testing best practices-Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach to problem-solving-Excellent communication and collaboration skillsIf you have a passion for developing high-quality applications and tools that meet and exceed customer expectations, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities: -Design, develop, test, and deploy applications and tools for enterprise-level environments -Create specifications and develop software according to established development methodologies -Manage and maintain application servers, databases, and cloud technologies -Identify and troubleshoot issues in applications and tools -Perform code reviews and provide feedback to ensure highest quality of code -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of software products -Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations -Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software engineering
