- Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students: Assist users with technical issues and inquiries related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, and provide timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal disruption to users.
- Install and configure new systems: Set up new hardware and software systems, perform necessary updates and configurations, and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
- Maintain and update systems: Monitor and maintain the performance and security of existing systems, and perform regular updates and maintenance tasks as required.
- Train users on new systems and technologies: Conduct training sessions to familiarize users with new systems, software, and technologies, and provide ongoing support and guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with IT team: Work closely with other members of the IT team to identify and resolve complex technical issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes.
- Stay up-to-date with technology trends: Keep abreast of new technologies and trends in the industry, and make recommendations for the adoption of new tools and systems to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain documentation: Keep accurate records of technical issues, solutions, and user requests, and maintain documentation of systems, processes, and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service: Deliver exceptional customer service, actively listen to users' needs and concerns, and maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Adhere to security protocols: Follow security protocols and procedures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with university policies and regulations.
- Participate in projects: Assist with IT projects and initiatives, and collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Continuously improve processes: Identify areas for improvement in technical support processes and procedures, and make proactive recommendations for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Computer Science, Information Technology, Or Engineering.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Technical Support Role, Preferably In An Academic Or Research Environment.
Strong Knowledge Of Computer Hardware, Software, And Networking Systems, Including Experience With Windows And Mac Operating Systems.
Excellent Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Quickly Diagnose And Resolve Technical Issues.
Exceptional Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Technical Information To Non-Technical Users.
