- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the university storeroom, including inventory control, ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies and equipment.
- Develop and implement efficient processes for managing inventory, ensuring that all items are accurately recorded and tracked.
- Collaborate with various departments and facilities to understand their supply and equipment needs and ensure timely and accurate delivery of requested items.
- Maintain a clean and organized storeroom, ensuring that all items are properly labeled and stored in designated areas.
- Conduct regular audits to assess inventory levels and identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels to meet the demands of the university, while also minimizing excess inventory and waste.
- Train and supervise a team of storeroom staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with university staff and vendors to resolve any inventory or delivery issues.
- Analyze inventory data and generate reports to inform decision-making and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in inventory management, implementing new strategies as needed to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols and procedures, ensuring the proper handling and storage of hazardous or sensitive materials.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and a strong customer service mindset.
- Participate in departmental meetings and provide regular updates to university leadership on storeroom operations and performance.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.
At Least 3 Years Of Experience In A Storeroom Or Inventory Management Role.
Knowledge Of Inventory Control Systems And Procedures.
Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail.
Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Team Members And Vendors.
