We are currently seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Sport Nutrition Assistant. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with student-athletes and support their performance through proper nutrition. As a Sport Nutrition Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping our athletes reach their full potential. We are looking for someone with a passion for sports nutrition and a strong understanding of the unique needs of athletes.   1. Conduct individual nutrition assessments for student-athletes and develop personalized nutrition plans based on their specific needs and goals.
  2. Collaborate with coaches, athletic trainers, and other support staff to ensure proper nutrition is integrated into the overall athletic program.
  3. Educate student-athletes on proper nutrition strategies and provide resources to help them make informed decisions about their diet.
  4. Stay up-to-date on current research and trends in sports nutrition to continuously improve and enhance our program.
  5. Assist in the planning and execution of team meals and snacks, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
  6. Monitor and track the nutritional status and progress of student-athletes.
  7. Conduct regular grocery store tours and cooking demonstrations to promote healthy eating habits among student-athletes.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation of nutrition plans and consultations.
  9. Serve as a resource for coaches, athletic trainers, and other staff regarding nutrition-related questions and concerns.
  10. Participate in departmental meetings and workshops to contribute to the overall growth and development of the sports nutrition program.
  11. Adhere to all NCAA and university rules and regulations regarding nutrition and dietary supplements.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve the sports nutrition program to meet the evolving needs of the student-athletes.
  13. Foster a positive and supportive environment for student-athletes to promote their physical and mental well-being.
  14. Represent the university and the sports nutrition program in a professional manner at all times.
  15. Collaborate with other nutrition professionals on campus to promote a comprehensive approach to health and wellness at the university.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Exercise Science, Or A Related Field

  • Knowledge Of Sports Nutrition Principles And Practices

  • Experience Working With Athletes And/Or Teams In A Sports Nutrition Setting

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Coaches, Trainers, And Athletes

  • Ability To Provide Evidence-Based Nutrition Education And Counseling To Athletes Of Varying Ages And Skill Levels.
