Welcome to Vanderbilt University's Office of Grants and Contracts! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Grants Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of grant proposals, from identifying funding opportunities to post-award management.   1. Develop and implement strategies to identify and pursue funding opportunities that align with Vanderbilt University's research and program goals.
  2. Oversee the full lifecycle of grant proposals, including coordinating with faculty and staff to develop strong and competitive proposals, reviewing and editing proposals for accuracy and compliance, and ensuring timely submission.
  3. Serve as the primary point of contact for grant agencies and sponsors, and maintain strong relationships with funding partners.
  4. Provide guidance and support to faculty and staff in navigating grant-related regulations and guidelines, and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  5. Manage the post-award process for awarded grants, including budget monitoring, progress reporting, and subaward management.
  6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as the Office of Sponsored Programs and the Office of Research, to ensure efficient and effective grant management.
  7. Stay up-to-date on changes in grant regulations and requirements, and communicate relevant updates to faculty and staff.
  8. Supervise and mentor junior grants management staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  9. Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of grant activities, including budgets, reports, and correspondence.
  10. Assist in the development and implementation of grant-related training and resources for faculty and staff.
  11. Represent Vanderbilt University's Office of Grants and Contracts in a professional and positive manner at meetings, conferences, and other events.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve grant management processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Adhere to ethical standards and best practices in grant management.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the director of the Office of Grants and Contracts.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Business, Finance, Or Nonprofit Management.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Grant Management, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Federal And Private Funding Requirements And Compliance Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Successfully Managing And Overseeing Multiple Grants And Budgets Simultaneously.
