Job Description

  1. Conduct routine checks on buildings and equipment to identify potential issues.
  2. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and efficiency of buildings and equipment.
  3. Maintain a thorough understanding of building systems and equipment in order to properly maintain and troubleshoot.
  4. Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks and any issues found.
  5. Communicate any major issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  6. Collaborate with other maintenance team members to coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks.
  7. Stay up-to-date on all safety protocols and regulations.
  8. Identify areas for improvement and make suggestions for updates or upgrades.
  9. Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
  11. Continuously improve and update preventative maintenance procedures.
  12. Attend training and development sessions as required to stay current on best practices and industry standards.
  13. Adhere to all university policies and procedures related to maintenance and safety.
  14. Represent the university in a professional and positive manner.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities to improve the safety and efficiency of buildings and equipment.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Preventative Maintenance Procedures: The Candidate Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Preventative Maintenance Procedures, Including The Ability To Identify Potential Issues Before They Become Major Problems.

  • Technical Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Technical Skills, Including Experience With Hvac Systems, Electrical Systems, Plumbing, And Carpentry.

  • Experience In Facility Maintenance: Previous Experience In Facility Maintenance, Preferably In A University Setting, Is Highly Desired. This Includes Experience With Preventative Maintenance Programs And Working With A Variety Of Equipment And Systems.

  • Attention To Detail: The Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify Potential Issues Before They Escalate. They Should Also Possess Strong Troubleshooting Skills To Address Any Maintenance Concerns That Arise.

  • Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Other Team Members, As Well As Faculty, Staff, And Students, To Ensure Maintenance Needs Are Addressed In A Timely And Efficient Manner.
