As a member of our Events team, you will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events on campus.   1. Plan and execute a variety of events on campus, including but not limited to conferences, lectures, receptions, and ceremonies.
  2. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all event details are properly communicated and executed.
  3. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service in all interactions with event attendees, vendors, and colleagues.
  4. Utilize strong organizational skills to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet all deadlines.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to develop creative and innovative event ideas that align with the university's mission and goals.
  6. Assist in creating event budgets and managing expenses to ensure events are within budget.
  7. Conduct site visits and communicate event details with event venues and vendors.
  8. Serve as a point of contact for event inquiries and provide excellent customer service to clients.
  9. Proactively identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during events and promptly address them.
  10. Prepare event materials such as agendas, signage, and name tags.
  11. Maintain accurate and detailed event records, including attendance, feedback, and expenses.
  12. Comply with all university policies and procedures related to event planning and execution.
  13. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve event planning processes.
  14. Collaborate with marketing and communications team to promote events and increase attendance.
  15. Support and assist with other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Events Manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Hospitality, Event Management, Or Marketing.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Event Planning And Coordination.

  • Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Effective Relationship Building With Clients And Vendors.

  • Knowledge Of Event Industry Trends And Best Practices, Including Experience With Event Technology And Software.
