  1. Conduct research and analysis to support the development and maintenance of Vanderbilt University's facilities and equipment.
  2. Utilize expertise in both electrical and mechanical engineering to design, test, and implement improvements to existing systems.
  3. Collaborate with other members of the Engineering department to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in electrical and mechanical engineering to ensure Vanderbilt University's facilities and equipment remain state-of-the-art.
  5. Develop and maintain documentation, including technical reports and diagrams, to accurately track and communicate progress and changes.
  6. Work closely with other departments and teams within Vanderbilt University to identify and address engineering needs and challenges.
  7. Act as a technical advisor and consultant to other departments within Vanderbilt University, providing guidance on engineering-related matters.
  8. Apply problem-solving skills and critical thinking to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and students.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external partners to provide updates on project progress and discuss potential solutions.
  11. Prepare and deliver presentations to share findings, proposals, and recommendations with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  12. Mentor and train junior engineers and interns to promote the growth and development of the Engineering department.
  13. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all engineering activities, including project plans, budgets, and timelines.
  14. Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to source materials, equipment, and services as needed.
  15. Continuously strive to improve and streamline processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the Engineering department.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Or Mechanical Engineering From An Accredited University.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Relevant Work Experience In A Related Field.

  • Knowledge And Experience With Electrical And Mechanical Systems Design, Installation, And Maintenance.
