  1. Develop and implement event plans and strategies to support fundraising and donor stewardship efforts.
  2. Manage all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, venue selection, vendor coordination, and day-of logistics.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure events align with the university's mission and goals.
  4. Create and manage event timelines, including pre-event promotion and post-event follow-up.
  5. Coordinate with the development team to identify and invite key donors and stakeholders to events.
  6. Serve as the main point of contact for event-related inquiries and provide timely and professional responses.
  7. Work closely with the marketing team to develop event materials, such as invitations, programs, and signage.
  8. Maintain accurate records and reports on event attendance, expenses, and outcomes.
  9. Evaluate event success and make recommendations for improvements for future events.
  10. Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in event planning to ensure events are innovative and engaging.
  11. Represent Vanderbilt University at events and maintain professional relationships with donors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  12. Adhere to university policies and procedures, as well as any legal and ethical standards, in all event-related activities.
  13. Assist with other development and fundraising initiatives as needed.
  14. Demonstrate a strong commitment to the university's values and mission.
  15. Act as a brand ambassador for Vanderbilt University and promote the institution in a positive light at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Event Planning, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Event Coordination, Preferably In A University Or Non-Profit Setting.

  • Strong Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks And Deadlines Simultaneously.

  • Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Vendors.

  • Proficiency In Event Planning Software And Technology, Such As Cvent, Eventbrite, And Microsoft Office.
