
Building Maintenance Technician

- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, identify any maintenance issues, and report them to the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, repairing plumbing fixtures, and fixing minor electrical issues.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize urgent issues.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex maintenance problems and provide effective solutions.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including the materials used and the time spent on each task.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure all buildings are in good working condition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Proactively identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate measures to address them.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Communicate effectively with other team members, as well as students, faculty, and staff, to provide exceptional customer service.
- Stay up-to-date with maintenance techniques and best practices to continuously improve performance.
- Assist with special projects and events as needed.
- Follow university policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the university.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Building Maintenance Or Related Field
Proficiency In Basic Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, And Hvac Systems
