
Acquisitions Manager

- Identify potential properties and assets for acquisition that align with Vanderbilt University's goals and strategic plan.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to evaluate the feasibility and potential value of each acquisition opportunity.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including property owners, brokers, and other industry professionals.
- Negotiate and finalize purchase agreements, taking into consideration factors such as price, terms, and conditions.
- Collaborate with legal and financial teams to ensure all contracts and agreements meet university standards and regulations.
- Oversee due diligence processes, including property inspections, environmental assessments, and title searches.
- Prepare financial projections and investment analyses for potential acquisitions.
- Create and maintain detailed records and reports on all acquisition activities.
- Monitor and track industry trends and market conditions to inform future acquisition strategies.
- Develop and implement strategies for maximizing the value of acquired properties and assets.
- Collaborate with university departments and leadership to ensure acquisitions align with institutional goals and priorities.
- Represent Vanderbilt University in a professional and positive manner to external stakeholders.
- Continuously seek out new opportunities for growth and expansion through acquisitions.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and laws related to real estate acquisitions.
- Mentor and train junior team members, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and knowledge in real estate acquisitions.
A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Procurement And Contract Negotiations, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
A Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Or A Related Field. A Master's Degree Or Equivalent Experience Is Preferred.
Strong Analytical Skills And Proficiency In Data Analysis And Reporting. Experience With Procurement Software And Systems Is A Plus.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Departments And Stakeholders.
Demonstrated Knowledge Of Federal And State Procurement Regulations, As Well As Experience Managing Complex Contracts And Vendor Relationships. Professional Certifications Such As Cpm, Cpsm, Or Cpcm Are Highly Desirable.
