Job Description

Oversees the international advising function and serve as a Responsible Officer (RO) for J-1 visa program. Develops appropriate processes and procedures for prompt and accurate processing and monitoring of immigration and visa applications. Ensures compliance with all aspects of the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and other federal laws. Liaison between our departments and external legal counsel. Oversees plans for communications about international scholar issues, both internally and externally to the surrounding community. Oversees the development of training regarding topics of interest to the international scholar populations and departments that provide services to or employ internationals. Leads the Immigration team advising international scholars to ensure successful integration into the workplace and local community, as well as maintaining legal status.
