Senior Designer, Performance (Studio)

- Lead and develop the performance line for Urban Outfitters, utilizing your expertise in design to create trendsetting and innovative products.
- Utilize your strong understanding of the Urban Outfitters brand to ensure all designs align with the company's values and aesthetic.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research and analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape to inform design decisions.
- Drive the creative vision for the performance line, utilizing your creativity and fashion knowledge to develop unique and cutting-edge designs.
- Manage the entire design process from concept to final product, ensuring all designs are executed with the highest level of quality and attention to detail.
- Mentor and develop junior designers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.
- Collaborate with production and sourcing teams to ensure designs can be feasibly produced within established timelines and budget constraints.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, techniques, and technologies, and incorporate them into designs to continuously push the boundaries of creativity.
- Attend and participate in design meetings, presenting concepts and designs to key stakeholders and incorporating feedback into final designs.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of target demographics and customer preferences to ensure designs are meeting the needs of the Urban Outfitters consumer.
Extensive Experience In Performance Design: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Designing For Performance, Specifically In A Studio Setting. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Technical Aspects Of Performance Design And Be Able To Create Innovative And Functional Designs.
Strong Design Portfolio: A Senior Designer At Urban Outfitters Should Have A Diverse And Impressive Design Portfolio That Showcases Their Ability To Create Unique And Trendsetting Designs. The Portfolio Should Also Demonstrate A Strong Understanding Of Urban Outfitters' Brand Aesthetic And Target Audience.
Ability To Lead A Team: This Role Requires Someone Who Can Lead A Team Of Designers And Work Collaboratively With Other Departments Such As Product Development, Sourcing, And Merchandising. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In A Leadership Or Mentorship Role And Be Able To Effectively Communicate Their Vision And Ideas To Others.
Knowledge Of Performance Materials And Construction: Urban Outfitters Is Known For Its High-Quality And Functional Performance Products. The Senior Designer Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Performance Materials And Construction Techniques To Ensure That The Final Product Meets The Brand's Standards.
Trend Awareness And Adaptability: The Fashion Industry Is Constantly Evolving, And It Is Essential For A Senior Designer To Stay Updated On Current Trends And Be Able To Adapt Them To Fit Urban Outfitters' Aesthetic.
