  1. Develop and execute merchandise plans that align with the company's overall sales and profitability goals.
  2. Conduct thorough market and trend research to identify key product categories and determine optimal assortment mix.
  3. Analyze historical sales data and current market trends to make informed decisions about product assortment, pricing, and inventory levels.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including buying, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment and maximize sales opportunities.
  5. Create and maintain accurate sales forecasts and inventory plans, adjusting as needed to meet changing market conditions.
  6. Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for markdowns, promotions, and reorders to maximize sales and minimize excess inventory.
  7. Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to negotiate favorable pricing and payment terms.
  8. Communicate regularly with buying team to provide updates on sales performance, inventory levels, and any potential risks or opportunities.
  9. Prepare and present merchandise plans and strategies to senior management, including recommendations for future product assortments.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and customer preferences to inform merchandise planning decisions.
  11. Train and mentor junior merchandise planners, providing guidance and support in developing their analytical and planning skills.
  12. Ensure all merchandise planning processes and procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve merchandise planning strategies and processes to drive sales and profitability.
  14. Adhere to budget and financial targets set by senior management.
  15. Collaborate with store teams to ensure effective execution of merchandise plans at the store level.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Retail Merchandising, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Merchandise Planning In A Retail Environment.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Use Data To Make Strategic Decisions.

  • Proficiency In Retail Math And Forecasting Techniques.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Cross-Functionally With Buying, Allocation, And Store Teams.
