
Free People Design Coordinator

As a Design Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of Free People's designs. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and has a strong understanding of the Free People brand. - Collaborate with the Free People design team to assist in the development of new collections, including researching trends and presenting ideas.
- Manage and maintain the design calendar, ensuring all deadlines and milestones are met.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as production, merchandising, and sourcing to ensure designs are executed accurately and on time.
- Conduct regular market research and analysis to stay on top of current fashion trends and incorporate them into Free People's designs.
- Organize and maintain all design-related materials, including fabric swatches, sketches, and samples.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to source materials and samples for design inspiration and development.
- Assist in the creation of technical sketches and design specifications.
- Participate in fittings and provide feedback on design and fit.
- Ensure all design and production processes meet quality standards.
- Contribute to the design team's brainstorming sessions and provide creative input.
- Attend trade shows and other industry events to gather inspiration and stay updated on industry trends.
- Continuously monitor and analyze sales data to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop visual assets for product launches and promotions.
- Support the design team with any other tasks or projects as needed.
- Uphold and promote the Free People brand identity and aesthetic in all designs and collaborations.
Bachelor's Degree In Fashion Design Or A Related Field, Or Equivalent Experience.
At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Fashion Design And/Or Product Development.
Proficiency In Adobe Creative Suite And Other Design Software.
Strong Understanding Of The Free People Brand And Aesthetic.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Cross-Functionally With Merchandising, Production, And Other Teams.
