  1. Develop and implement merchandise strategies that align with company goals and drive sales for the Urban Outfitters brand.
  2. Lead a team of merchandisers and buyers in selecting and curating merchandise that resonates with our target customer base.
  3. Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions regarding inventory levels and product assortment.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, visual merchandising, and store operations to ensure a cohesive brand image and shopping experience.
  5. Stay updated on industry trends, competition, and customer preferences to inform decision-making and identify new opportunities for growth.
  6. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
  7. Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasting sales and expenses, and making adjustments as needed.
  8. Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential.
  9. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  10. Participate in the selection and onboarding of new team members.
  11. Conduct regular store visits to gather feedback from customers and store associates, and to ensure merchandise is meeting brand standards.
  12. Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures and ensure compliance within the department.
  13. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.
  14. Represent the brand at trade shows and other industry events to stay current on market trends and network with potential partners.
  15. Continuously evaluate and make recommendations for process improvements to drive efficiency and productivity within the department.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Fashion Merchandising, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Retail Merchandising, Preferably Within The Fashion Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Current Fashion Trends And Ability To Predict Future Trends.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Large Budgets And Driving Sales.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Make Data-Driven Decisions.
