We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Department Manager to join our team and oversee our Service & Styling department. As the leader of this department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and have an unforgettable shopping experience. We are looking for someone who is passionate about fashion, has a strong understanding of customer service, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.   1. Oversee the daily operations of the Service & Styling department, including customer service, styling services, and overall store presentation.
  2. Ensure that all employees are providing exceptional customer service and embodying the Urban Outfitters brand.
  3. Train, coach, and motivate department employees to deliver a high level of service and achieve sales goals.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction within the department.
  5. Monitor and analyze department performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions.
  6. Create and maintain department schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
  7. Collaborate with other department managers to ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers.
  8. Stay updated on current fashion trends and product knowledge to assist customers and provide styling advice.
  9. Handle customer complaints and ensure timely and appropriate resolution.
  10. Maintain department inventory levels and assist with visual merchandising to drive sales.
  11. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and security measures.
  12. Communicate effectively with upper management to provide updates on department performance and suggest improvements.
  13. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for department employees.
  14. Adhere to budget guidelines and assist with forecasting and budget planning for the department.
  15. Keep up-to-date with competitor offerings and make recommendations to maintain a competitive edge.

Job Qualifications
  • Retail Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Managing A Team And Day-To-Day Operations In A Retail Environment.

  • Strong Customer Service Skills: As A Department Manager In The Service & Styling Department, A Key Responsibility Will Be To Ensure Exceptional Customer Service Is Provided To All Customers. The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Delivering Excellent Customer Service.

  • Knowledge Of Current Fashion Trends: Urban Outfitters Is A Trendy And Fashion-Forward Brand, And The Department Manager Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Current Fashion Trends And Be Able To Translate Them Into The Store's Visual Merchandising And Styling.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: The Department Manager Will Be Responsible For Leading And Motivating A Team, As Well As Communicating With Other Departments And Upper Management. Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Organizational And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Candidate Should Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks, Prioritize Effectively, And Find Solutions To Any Challenges That May Arise. This Role Requires A Proactive And Organized Individual Who Can Handle The Fast-Paced Environment Of A Retail Store.
