Welcome to Urban Outfitters! We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Department Manager. As a leader in the fashion retail industry, we are looking for someone who is passionate about our brand and has a keen eye for style. In this role, you will work closely with the Department Manager to oversee the daily operations of a specific department within our store. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a positive attitude.   1. Assist the Department Manager in overseeing and managing all aspects of a specific department within the store.
  2. Ensure that the department is properly stocked, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
  3. Train, mentor, and supervise a team of sales associates to provide excellent customer service and achieve sales goals.
  4. Create and implement strategies to drive sales and increase department profitability.
  5. Monitor and analyze departmental sales performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  6. Collaborate with the Department Manager to develop and execute merchandising plans and displays.
  7. Maintain a thorough understanding of the brand and its products to effectively communicate with customers and provide product knowledge to team members.
  8. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  9. Assist with inventory management, including receiving and processing merchandise, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring accuracy.
  10. Uphold store policies and procedures to ensure a safe and positive work environment.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth within the company.
  12. Act as a role model for the team by demonstrating a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and passion for the brand.

Job Qualifications
  • Retail Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Retail Setting, Preferably With Previous Experience In A Management Or Supervisory Role.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: Ability To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team, Delegate Tasks, And Provide Constructive Feedback To Improve Performance.

  • Knowledge Of Fashion And Trends: A Keen Understanding Of Fashion And Trends, As Well As A Demonstrated Ability To Curate And Merchandise Products In A Visually Appealing Way.
