  1. Assist in the overall management of the designated department, ensuring its smooth and efficient operation.
  2. Create and maintain a unique and inclusive shopping experience for customers in the designated department.
  3. Support and collaborate with the Department Manager in developing and implementing strategies to meet sales targets and increase profitability.
  4. Train and supervise department staff to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  5. Continuously monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management and replenishment.
  6. Maintain visual merchandising standards in the department, ensuring a visually appealing and organized shopping environment.
  7. Make informed decisions regarding product placement, pricing, and promotions to drive sales and maximize profit.
  8. Act as a role model for the team, promoting a positive and enthusiastic work culture.
  9. Communicate effectively with other departments and store management to ensure smooth coordination and execution of tasks.
  10. Identify and address any operational or customer service issues in a timely and effective manner.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to make recommendations for improvement and innovation.
  12. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations for the department.
  13. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and courteous manner.
  14. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment where all team members feel valued and supported.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Leadership Skills: As An Assistant Department Manager At Urban Outfitters, You Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Employees. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills Are Essential In Order To Effectively Manage And Motivate Your Team.

  • Knowledge Of Fashion And Trends: Urban Outfitters Is A Fashion-Forward Retailer, So A Strong Understanding Of Current Fashion Trends And The Ability To Merchandise Products In An Appealing Way Is Necessary For This Role. This Will Help Drive Sales And Keep The Store's Inventory Fresh And Relevant.
