- Conduct market research and stay updated on current fashion trends to assist in the development of the product assortment.
- Collaborate with Buying team to identify product needs and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Assist in the negotiation and sourcing of merchandise with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and quality products.
- Analyze sales data and provide insights to Buying team to inform future purchasing strategies.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and stay up-to-date on product availability and delivery schedules.
- Assist in the creation and management of purchase orders, including tracking and ensuring timely delivery.
- Support the Buying team in product line reviews and presentations to senior management.
- Help to manage inventory levels and make recommendations for reorders or markdowns.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Planning, Merchandising, and Visual to ensure cohesive product assortments and timely execution of promotions.
- Stay updated on competition and industry trends to make informed decisions and identify potential opportunities for growth.
Strong Knowledge Of Retail Industry: An Assistant Buyer At Urban Outfitters Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of The Fashion And Retail Industry, Including Trends, Competitors, And Consumer Behavior.
Excellent Communication Skills: This Role Requires Constant Communication With Vendors, Internal Teams, And Other Stakeholders. Therefore, Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential.
