As a Warehouse Associate at UPS, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely flow of packages and parcels through our warehouse.   1. Receive and process incoming packages and parcels according to UPS protocols and procedures.
  2. Organize and sort packages by destination, size, and weight in a timely manner.
  3. Ensure accuracy of package labeling and scanning to prevent errors and delays.
  4. Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move packages and pallets.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following proper sanitation and safety guidelines.
  6. Keep track of inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages to management.
  7. Assist in loading and unloading of trucks and trailers, using proper lifting and stacking techniques.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  9. Identify and report any damaged or mishandled packages to appropriate personnel.
  10. Meet productivity and accuracy goals set by management.
  11. Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and dress code.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
  13. Cross-train in different areas of the warehouse to ensure flexibility and efficiency.
  14. Participate in regular training and development programs to enhance job skills and knowledge.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times while representing UPS.

Job Qualifications

  • Physical Ability: Warehouse Associates At Ups Must Be Able To Lift And Move Heavy Packages, Often Weighing Up To 70 Pounds. They Must Also Be Able To Stand, Walk, And Perform Repetitive Tasks For Extended Periods Of Time.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Warehouse Associate, One Must Be Able To Accurately Read And Match Labels And Numbers On Packages, Inventory Lists, And Shipping Documents. This Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Prevent Shipment Errors.

  • Time Management: Ups Operates On A Tight Schedule, And Warehouse Associates Must Be Able To Work Efficiently And Meet Deadlines. This Includes Prioritizing Tasks, Organizing Shipments, And Keeping Track Of Inventory Levels.

  • Teamwork And Communication Skills: Warehouse Associates At Ups Work As Part Of A Team, And Therefore Must Have Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Coordinate Tasks And Work Collaboratively With Colleagues. They Must Also Be Able To Follow Instructions And Provide Feedback To Supervisors.

  • Safety Awareness: Ups Places A High Priority On Workplace Safety, And Warehouse Associates Must Be Aware Of And Adhere To Safety Protocols And Procedures. This Includes Operating Equipment Safely, Wearing Protective Gear, And Reporting Any Potential Hazards Or Incidents.
