- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all electrical systems within UPS facilities.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, and develop effective solutions to address them.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed, including documenting any changes or updates made to electrical systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in electrical maintenance to continuously improve processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to identify and resolve cross-functional issues and improve overall facility operations.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and work quickly and efficiently to resolve any urgent electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance and repair activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates on maintenance activities and any potential issues.
- Utilize strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, and properly handle and dispose of any hazardous materials.
- Assist with training and mentoring new maintenance team members to ensure they are proficient in electrical maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving measures related to electrical maintenance.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of all maintenance activities.
Knowledge Of Electrical Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Electrical Systems And Their Components, Including Wiring, Circuit Breakers, Transformers, And Motors. They Should Be Able To Troubleshoot And Repair Any Issues That May Arise.
Experience With Building Maintenance: Previous Experience In Building Maintenance, Specifically In Electrical Systems, Is A Must. This Includes Performing Repairs, Conducting Preventative Maintenance, And Ensuring All Building Codes And Safety Regulations Are Met.
Technical Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Technical Skills, Including The Ability To Read And Interpret Blueprints, Diagrams, And Schematics. They Should Also Be Proficient In Using Hand And Power Tools, As Well As Electrical Testing Equipment.
Problem-Solving Abilities: A Successful Building Maintenance Mechanic Must Be Able To Think Critically And Solve Problems Quickly And Efficiently. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Electrical Systems And Be Able To Identify And Resolve Issues In A Timely Manner.
Physical Stamina: This Position May Require Lifting Heavy Objects, Working In Confined Spaces, And Standing For Extended Periods. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks Without Difficulty. They Should Also Be Comfortable Working At Heights, As Some Maintenance Tasks May Require The Use Of Ladders Or Scaffolding.
